Joao Pessoa Architecture

Considering its size, Joao Pessoa has some fascinating buildings. While there are some colonial buildings in the city center, the modern designs near the coast are the most interesting.

Hotel Tambau is a private hotel built during a time of different land-use regulations. It becomes partially covered during high tide.

The Estacao Cabo Branco was designed by Oscar Niemeyer, Brazil's most famous architect. Its located at the most eastern point of the city, and therefore, of the South American continent. Unfortunately, none of its exhibits compare to its exterior beauty.
